The Embedded News Feed Story

It’s not new. It is evolving. The embedded news feed story offers media editors a news scoop in real time straight from the social feeds. It could be YOUR story! And it can be.

Now, like never before, a news editor can use embedded posts and video from Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube straight on to their higher profile websites.

Side note: Facebook have now launched embedded video player for non-Facebook websites too.  Announcement and more instructions at FB Developers blog: Embed Facebook video player.

For this example I’m using the news of the new James Bond film Spectre with it’s official teaser trailer.

From YouTube

If you enjoy Daniel Craig you’ll be clicking the video. If not carry on scrolling down.

From the Twitter feed.

As you may expect in this example there are many to choose from. Take a look at the James Bond film ‘Spectre’ Twitter feed

Imagine a news editor picking up your story and publishing on their news site?

As you can now see, this is also a great way to share information on your owned media; to provide a unique news source for your readers. The scope is endless.

Got any of these on your Life To Do List?

  • A message to share
  • A movement to ignite
  • A mission to fulfill
  • An empire to build

All of these require the same thing: an audience.

See what Mashable have done with this Sea World story using Twitter.  SeaWorld tried to answer questions on Twitter, and it did not go well.

Be Useful

If your marketing is sufficiently useful, your audience will keep your brand close – on their home screen, in their inbox, in their social feeds – and, when they need you, they’ll access whatever it is you’re bringing to the information party. Or if it’s your news, you may be fortunate that the news editors pick yours up.

Of course, in any marketing strategy you should consider how you can enjoy the benefit of paid and earned media in this format too. This blog may be helpful – Make Integrated Marketing Count.

Thanks for popping past.
